My Instant Death Ability is So Overpowered, No One in This Other World Stands a Chance Against Me! Volume 14 Chapter 14

 CHAPTER 14

The World Destroyer, The World Slayer Who Wields The Zankai Blade

Kisaburo had the ability and considerable experience in creating his own worlds.
Based on his experience, a sword could cut through these created worlds, but the cut would stop there. In other words, if the world was a dual structure, even if the inside could be cut, the outside could not be cut through in the same stroke. It wouldn't be a problem, as he could just strike again, but in situations like this, it was a useful characteristic.
Kisaburo had no intention of ending the world immediately.
Cavern Quest was being divided. It was simply bifurcated, and it would never be one again. A world that had been cut once usually divided as if it were repelling.
As the divided world began to separate and everyone realized that it was beyond repair, Kisaburo stood on the ground.
The castle where he was just a moment ago was nowhere to be found, and all around there were only fallen trees.
It was essentially a collapsed forest, but there were mysterious creatures writhing around. They were probably the invasive creatures that had fallen from the sky. Their appearance had changed from before, taking the form of dolls made from amalgamated plants. It seemed that their form had changed while they were underground.
The fallen trees were probably also the result of the invasion.

"I completely forgot about these guys."

Cavern Quest had collapsed, and he had returned to the surface where he used to be. Probably the same would be true for those who were in Cavern Quest. When a world breaks, if there's a viable world nearby, that's where you are thrown.

"Hmm... It would be embarrassing to use the sword just because I'm likely to lose to these guys..."

If he was going to do something like that, it would have been better to use it from the beginning instead of going to the Cavern Quest.
But being surrounded like this was quite difficult to handle.

"And I don't have a convenient skill to escape, that's the problem..."

The abilities Kisaburo had acquired were only the basic skills from the worlds he had traversed so far. He couldn't burn the visible enemies in an instant or fly in the sky.

"Hmm... I wanted to have a direct confrontation with the Great Sage..."

If he could slash the world in front of the confident Great Sage, it would be quite exhilarating. That's what he was thinking, but there was nothing he could do besides swing the sword.
The aimlessly writhing invasive creatures responded with a jerk.
Kisaburo put strength into the hand holding his sword.
However, it seemed the mysterious creatures' reaction wasn't to Kisaburo. A roar could be heard from the sky.
Looking up at the sky, Kisaburo saw a massive object flying.
It was probably some sort of space fortress. Kisaburo recognized the spherical objects. He had seen similar vehicles in the worlds he had been to before.

"It's like a space fleet..."

The sky was filled with massive objects resembling space fortresses. He didn't understand their scale, but Kisaburo felt that they could take down a star or two.
On the surface of the space fortress, numerous cylindrical objects appeared. They were probably some sort of gun turret, and they all pointed downward in unison.

"Huh?"

The space fortress trembled, and something was launched.
Kisaburo was unable to react properly. If it was truly a space fortress, and the attack was on a cosmic scale, that would be expected.
Fortunately, the attack landed at a distance away from Kisaburo.
He braced himself for a massive explosion, but the result was surprisingly anticlimactic for an attack from a space fortress.
The mysterious creatures and the surrounding ground were gouged out and completely vanished.
The attack was scattered across the area.
It appeared indiscriminate, but the attack seemed to be avoiding Kisaburo.
Upon closer observation, whenever something hit, the surrounding matter was sucked into a single point. Kisaburo had no idea what the principle behind it was, but it was an extraordinary weapon, even for him who had traversed various worlds.
After a while, the mysterious creatures in the vicinity were wiped out.
These creatures were supposedly immortal and would revive even if burnt to ashes, but there were no signs of that for now. Only a randomly scarred landscape spread out.

"Did they just help me out?"

He looked up at the sky. A light was emitted from one of the space fortresses. The light was projected in front of Kisaburo, and a figure appeared.
It was a young man wearing a bodysuit that seemed to cover his entire body. Kisaburo remembered seeing him before the tournament began.

"You're the one who asked something during the explanation, right? Something about large-scale attacks... Ah, so that's what you meant."

Kisaburo had thought it was all bluster or exaggeration, but in reality, it was far more grand than he could have imagined. Indeed, if the fleet of space fortresses were to attack, they could easily sweep up all the participants at once. They could probably even obliterate the entire battlefield, not just the area above the clouds.

"My name is Size. Nice to meet you."
"So? I appreciate the help... but are you planning to fight me now?"
"There's no point in doing that now."
"That's true."

So why did he come here? Kisaburo didn't quite understand his intention.

"I want you to destroy the world."
"I was planning to do that eventually... but I don't take kindly to being ordered around."
"I just helped you, didn't I?"
"If I had destroyed the world, everything would have sorted itself out... but well, I admit that this seems interesting."

Kisaburo had been destroying various worlds while traversing them. There had been people who knew about his power in those worlds, but this was the first time anyone had asked him to destroy one.

"I don't intend to order you around. I just want you to take out the Great Sage while you're destroying the world."
"Hmm... I was planning to meet the Great Sage, whether or not I'd kill him directly... But you're not interested in Takatou Yogiri?"
"I have no grudge against him. I joined the game to make contact with the Great Sage."
"As for me... I'm mostly just going with the flow."

For Kisaburo, who could end the world at any time and go to another, a world crisis wasn't much of an issue. He had joined the underground quest because he thought it would be interesting, and he didn't particularly care about Takatou Yogiri's actions.
Kisaburo was more intrigued by the Great Sage.

"So, what do you mean by 'take out'?"
"If you look at the sky, you'll get the general idea. I have the ability to move between worlds on my own."
"Well, yeah, it seems like you would have the science for that."

There wasn't much to base it on, but Kisaburo had a vague feeling about it.

"So, it doesn't really matter to me if this world is on the brink of destruction... but the problem is the world's reset. I've been traveling to other worlds, but I still ended up coming back to this one because of the reset. In other words, there's a high likelihood that the same thing could keep happening in the future, and that's an issue for me."
"I see. So, you're saying that the greater problem here isn't this world or Takatou Yogiri, but rather, the Great Sage."
"It may sound simplistic, but doesn't it seem pretty likely that the best solution is to kill the Great Sage?"
"Well, yes. If that doesn't work, I wouldn't know what else to do... but are you asking me to do it?"
"I've heard stories about you. Suzuki Kisaburo, the World Destroyer, the World Slayer who wields the Zankai Blade. There's nothing that blade can't cut, and with a single swing, it can sever an entire world."
"Whoa... Is that what people think of me? World Slayer, Zankai Blade..."

His blade was just a blade, nothing more, nothing less. He hadn't bothered to give it a fancy name. Nor had he ever called himself the World Slayer, but the thought that people perceived him as such was profoundly embarrassing.

"The Great Sage's abilities are unknown. I might be able to win against him, but I figured it'd be more of a sure thing if we worked together."
"Sounds good to me. I'll slice through the Great Sage."

Kisaburo answered thus, mostly because he didn't know where the Great Sage was and had no means to get to him. If Size was willing to make all the preparations for Kisaburo to meet the Great Sage, that was more than he could ask for. There was no reason to refuse.

"Leave it to me to get us to the Great Sage."
"Alright. I'm counting on you."

A beam of light shot out from the Space Fortress, illuminating the two of them. The next moment, Kisaburo found himself on what seemed to be the bridge of a ship. The room was filled with numerous seats and instruments.

"Are we inside the Space Fortress? But there's no one here."

Kisaburo stored his blade in a different space.
Incidentally, he could summon the blade instantly and swing it immediately. There was absolutely no need for him to take the time to draw it, but he did so out of habit.

"The AI is doing all the piloting. This control room is just for show. It's designed this way for the ambiance."
"Couldn't you have just teleported me here instead of going to the trouble of wiping out those mysterious creatures? It only took a moment."
"That would have been straight-up kidnapping without any warning."
"You're surprisingly scrupulous."
"Well, I do possess a great deal of power. If I did whatever I wanted without restraint, things would get out of hand. Sometimes, you need to exercise self-control."
"Well, that's fine. But do you know where the Great Sage is?"
"Look over there."

Size pointed to a large monitor.
On it was displayed what looked like a map of the world, with several points of light.
Presumably, these lights indicated the locations of certain individuals. The lights were concentrated in a specific area of one continent.
With a casual flick of his finger, Size expanded the map.

"These are the locations of those who were expelled from Cavern Quest. They're all relatively close together."
"And where's the Great Sage?"
"He's this blue dot. The red is us, and the yellow represents others."

From their current position to the location of the Great Sage was approximately one hundred kilometers. A daunting distance if one were to attempt it on foot, but it would be a negligible distance for the Space Fortress.

"If the Great Sage were hiding, we wouldn't have been able to find him even if we had used all our sensors. Now is our chance."
"Well, if you're willing to take me there, I have no complaints."

In a world infested with mysterious creatures, the prospect of living in peace was becoming increasingly unlikely.
Whether the Great Sage was present or not, Kisaburo had been thinking that the only option would be to slice through the world and move to another one.
