My Instant Death Ability is So Overpowered, No One in This Other World Stands a Chance Against Me! Volume 14 Chapter 11

 CHAPTER 11

This Is My Handsome Paradise Where I Am a Princess

Sage Alice's Another Kingdom has the ability to create a small world where things go as she pleases. Hanakawa seemed to have gained temporary safety.

"Umm... I'm grateful for your help, but could you also beat up the Demon Lord's army while you're at it?"
"You're quite cheeky. Be grateful that you could even escape."
"That's true! First of all, thank you, Alice!"
"Well, whether I can beat them or not is a bit uncertain. But why did Shirou join them in the first place?"
"Do you know him?"
"Of course, he's a sage too. So, it means they have the power to control sages."
"But if they were dragged into here..."
"I can't forcibly bring them in, though."
"Wasn't I dragged in against my will?"
"It's a little trick. I created a door on the ground. Technically, you entered from there."

She created a door, opened it, and once inside, the door disappeared. A dim-witted opponent could be forced to enter this way, but someone more perceptive could notice the door's appearance and avoid it.

"If you left the door as is, wouldn't they come in? I thought we were invincible in here or something like that."

If Hanakawa had fallen through the sudden door, it was only natural to think that the others would follow. Based on the situation earlier, it didn't seem like the Demon Lord's army would allow him to escape.

"...I don't have confidence in being invincible in here anymore."

It seemed she had been beaten up badly by the Omega Blade.

"So, what should I do now?"
"How should I know? By the way, you don't belong here. This is my handsome paradise where I am a princess, so you, being ugly, are not invited. If you insist on staying, you'll have to go to the rotten village at the edge."
"Why are you saying something so disturbing!?"

However, Hanakawa had no choice but to rely on Alice's plans.
As Alice remained silent, Hanakawa decided to wait without saying anything unnecessary.

"...I got a complaint from Van."
"I can't even make an excuse!"

He had fled from the game without admitting defeat after losing according to the rules. It was only natural that the game management would complain.

"So, they're telling you to go back?"
"No, no, no! If I go back, I'll just die!?"
"Oh, that's fine. Your party lost, and the Demon Lord's army moved on to the third round."
"What? What happened?"
"I don't know that much."

Alice pointed at the wall, and a door appeared, as if to say, "Leave through there."

"As for that Kizuna Counter? I can't be rough with it because it's the Great Sage's power, but I have my own position as a sage."

Next to Alice's throne, several fully-armored knights appeared. They held long spears in their hands and slowly approached Hanakawa.

"Uh, um! I thought there was a restriction that only allowed us to create doors from the outside!"
"Van has a similar ability, so we can make it work if we cooperate."

Hanakawa was cornered towards the door. He was surrounded by fully armored knights.

"Uh... I understand! I'll go out, alright!"

He opened the door and entered.
The next moment, Hanakawa was in mid-air. Naturally, he fell and hit the ground. It wasn't a significant damage, but he was bewildered by the sudden change in the direction of gravity.

"Oh! Hanakawa! You're safe!"

Looking towards the voice, he saw Carol and Ryoko standing there.

"Where am I?"

Hanakawa looked around. He was by a lake. In other words, it was the place where they had been confronting the Demon Lord's army.

"You've been kicked out of the battle channel. It looks the same though."
"...So, what happened to the rock-paper-scissors game?"
"We surrendered right after you left!"

Carol announced nonchalantly.

"Huh? ...So we could have done that from the start!"
"You were the one who suddenly challenged them to a rock-paper-scissors game, Hanakawa!"
"Well, yes, but... what should we do now?"
"There was talk of the next round starting when half the teams win, so there's still a chance, right?"
"I see. It seems like we, who actually lost, have been returned to the matchmaking channel. There are 32 parties in the second round. If only 16 parties can advance to the third round, maybe we can still make it?"

The tournament follows a battle royale format with unusual rules, so defeat doesn't necessarily mean game over. In other words, there's still a chance for a comeback. But other parties would also be advancing their matches, and if they're not careful, there may not be any opponents left.

"It's all up to luck now!"

That wasn't a strategy, just a situation filled with uncertainty.

  *****

Aki Aozora is a high school idol, and her class received from the gift was also an idol. She is still wearing clothes that resemble an idol's stage costume, so she must have acquired the same class when she transferred to the underground quest.

"I didn't expect a classmate to come..."

Yogiri seemed surprised, and Tomochika agreed.
If a classmate was to come, it would probably be Hanakawa or Carol and the others, and Tomochika thought it would be for the purpose of joining up with them.
But she couldn't understand the motive if Aozora came all the way to meet Yogiri.
Aozora entered the park. She got closer and the space shook. Because the distance between them had come within ten meters, they had moved to the combat channel.

"Hello. I see Dannoura-san is with you."

Aozora, who continued to approach, stopped right in front of the two.

"Yes, that's true... But is it pointless to ask why you came?"

Tomochika wasn't so naive as to rejoice at meeting a classmate again.
Now, most of those participating in the final stage of the underground quest are likely those who heard the message from the great sage. If that's the case, it would be reasonable to assume that Aozora came to kill Yogiri.

"No. I don't intend to refuse dialogue from the start. After all, I came to persuade Takatou-kun."
"So you don't intend to fight?"
"At least I don't intend to start a fight right away."

Although it was a subtle way of saying it, it seemed she intended to talk for the time being.

"What do you mean by persuading? Are you asking us to give up on going back?"

Yogiri frowned.

"I'll be blunt. Please commit suicide."
"That's pretty straightforward!"
"Ryosuke Todda, Teizei Fukuhara, Yuki Tachibana, Yukimasa Aihara, Romiko Jōgasaki, Ayaka Shinozaki. Do you remember these six names?"
"...They're classmates, right? I remember Tachibana, Aihara..."

Yogiri struggled to remember, but Tomochika understood immediately. She knew that at least five of these people had been killed by Yogiri.

"That's all... you remember? You! You don't remember the people you killed?"
"I never thought to remember them. I just retaliated because I was targeted."
"They were classmates you shared joy and sorrow with! And you killed them! Don't you feel any guilt?"
"Even if you say so, I didn't have much to do with them."

Yogiri seemed to take classes seriously in high school, but he didn't interact much with his classmates. Tomochika, too, only talked to him for the first time after coming here.
Thinking back on it, that was probably due to Yogiri's abilities. He would avoid getting involved too much so as not to draw others into his situation, or perhaps so that he could cut them off if they attacked him as an enemy. That's what Tomochika thought.

"I'm just doing what I can. So, are you saying it would have been better if I were killed?"
"Yes."

The immediate response surprised Tomochika.

"If you were killed, six people would have been saved. It's a simple logic, right?"
"This chick would save multiple people in a trolley problem without hesitation."
"From an outsider's perspective, it may seem that saving the most people is best. But if you're the one being weighed, wouldn't the story be different?"
"It wouldn't be different. If I were you, I would have committed suicide long ago to avoid causing trouble for anyone."
"I see. Our values are so different that it seems pointless to talk."
"What does Dannoura-san think? If he dies, the people he killed can come back to life. Don't you think that's what should be done? Shouldn't you persuade him?"
"Whoa! Suddenly the focus shifted to me!"

Tomochika, who didn't expect to be involved in the conversation, was slightly confused.

"Well... I've said this before. By tolerating Takatou-kun's actions, I share the responsibility. If I couldn't forgive what he's done, I should have parted ways. But I haven't. I'm already prepared."
"I see... Your statement comes after killing nearly sixty million innocent people and sinless classmates. That's quite a shallow responsibility and resolve. It's not a sin that can be carried by just two people."
"Who knows? If we can't bear it, it'll just spill over, right? But I don't think we should be crushed."
"Ootori-kun said that if you talk a little, you'll understand he's not sane. I believed that a dialogue would somehow work... But it seems Ootori-kun was right. You two are insane."

Five men appeared next to Aki Sora. It must be some kind of ability.

"Takatou Yogiri VS Aki Sora FIGHT!!"

That action seemed to be judged as the start of the battle.
Men in matching happi coats charged in and fell. Probably Yogiri had used his power.

"I'm surprised. You can still kill unrelated people at this point."
"What are you saying after provoking them?"

Yogiri said, looking annoyed. If people were summoned to fight, Sora should also be responsible.

"What are you talking about? These are just fans doing this on their own, you know?"
"Is there such an absurd logic!?"

However, since Sora wasn't controlling them, Sora didn't die, and only the so-called fans did.

"You know my power, don't you? So, there's no way to win, right?"
"Yes. That's why it's a war of attrition. I understand that you have a deviant mentality. But can you keep killing unrelated people?"

More fans appeared. They were old and young, male and female, but their eyes were filled with murderous intent. It didn't seem like Sora was commanding them, but they were clearly filled with hatred for Yogiri.

"Akino-san is doing something much worse, right!? Didn't you say you can't forgive killing so many people!?"
"I'm just pursuing maximum happiness. Fans are happy to die for me, and everyone will be happy if Takatou-kun dies. What's so bad about that?"
"It's no use! We can't communicate!"
"If Takatou-kun commits suicide, the world will reset, and the dead people will return. Then there's no point in questioning the process."
"It's useless. I have no intention of dying in place of unrelated people."

However, it seemed that Yogiri had no intention of attacking Sora. It wouldn't be right to retaliate against Sora who wasn't directly attacking. Still, he couldn't keep this up indefinitely.

"Is it okay if I attack?"
'Can you kill them? As far as I can see, these 'fans' seem to come out of their own volition to fulfill Akino's wishes. Merely knocking them out might not stop them.'

He could attack or even kill them in one blow. But when asked if he could really do it, he hesitated. The act of directly taking a life with a clear intent was that heavy.

"No wayyyyy! I knew it! I knew it would come to this!"

As Tomochika hesitated, a comically outrageous voice, one she'd heard somewhere, echoed.

"Why is Hanakawa coming?"

Yogiri was exasperated.

"I don't know! By the way, the story about fans being illusions created by magic power was a lie!"

In front of Sora, Hanakawa, dressed in a happi coat and holding a penlight, appeared.

  1. Akino Sora/ Aki Aozora disgusts me. I hope she ends up killed by Yogiri. Quickly if I can wish for it.
