It's an Unreasonable Game-Like Different World! - Gokurakuten Fukura 2

 GOKURAKUTEN FUKURA 2

Fukura relaxed her arm, positioning the stone in her hand so that it could be thrown at any moment.

The creature that had been floating and gently approaching came to a halt. Perhaps it thought it would be attacked if it made any sudden moves.

In fact, if it came any closer, Fukura did intend to attack.

These creatures looked nothing but human to her. She considered that they might just be some kind of insects that only appeared human-like, but they truly seemed to be small girls who could fit in her palm.

"Hello!"

Three tiny girls energetically greeted her.

"Um...hello?"

Fukura's confusion intensified.

The creature that was consuming a human earlier was also unreal, but she could consider it to be an undiscovered creature.

However, it was hard to believe in the existence of doll-sized girls with wings, wearing clothes, floating in mid-air, and understanding human language.

"Um... where are we?"

Despite their dubious existence, she had no choice but to acknowledge them since they were right before her eyes. She optimistically thought that if she could communicate with them, she might learn something.

"We call it the quiet forest. I think you guys call it the Demon Realm. What's wrong? Are you lost?"

"I suppose you could say that. Have you seen any people around here?"

Thinking there might be surviving freshmen nearby, Fukura asked.

"We haven't seen anyone."

"Do you live around here?"

"Yeah. We're just going for a stroll."

"Who...who are you exactly? Are you fairies?"

"Do you mean our race? We're fairies."

A suspicion that Fukura had been vaguely entertaining began to take shape in her mind. It seemed ridiculous, and she had been dismissing it as something impossible, but now she couldn't ignore the possibility.

In other words, she might be in another world, and she might have been teleported here.

"I know this might sound strange, but isn't it odd that we can understand each other?"

"Huh? But you're speaking in a common language, right?"

"I thought I was speaking Japanese... Do you know about Japan?"

"I don't know it."

Fukura was speaking Japanese, and she could understand the fairies' words as Japanese.

But the fairies thought they were communicating in a common language.

"So, are there languages other than this common language?"

"Hmm. I guess there are, but everyone speaks the common language now. I'm not really sure about the fairy language either."

If that was the case, it might be a source of reassurance. Even if this was a different world, if they could communicate, there might be a way to get by.

"Is there a place where people live around here?"

"There is, yep. If you go that way, you'll find a village."

Fukura looked in the direction the fairy pointed, but all she could see was more forest. It must not be close by.

Considering the direction relative to a mental map, it seemed like the fairy was telling her to go east from here.

"Thank you. Oh, here, I'll give you this."

Fukura pulled out a chocolate from her pocket and showed it to the fairy.

She was dealing with a mysterious creature, so she should probably be more cautious, and giving away the little food she had might be a foolish act. However, she thought she should give something in return for their help.

"What's this?"

"It's chocolate."

"Hmm."

As the fairy came closer, Fukura unwrapped the chocolate and handed over the content. It was a spherical piece of chocolate about three centimeters in diameter, but considering the size of the fairies, it should be substantial for them.

"Wow, what's this? It's sweet! Delicious!"

The fairies gathered around and started nibbling at it.

"We got a nice treat, so we'll tell you something useful. If you're looking for where people are, you should probably go that way."

This time, the fairy pointed to the west, which was the opposite direction from before.

"The direction is different from before, isn't it?"

"Yep. I was just guessing before! If you go that way, you'll find a road."

"Thank you for that."

"Also, once you reach the road, make sure you don't stray from it. The road keeps the monsters away."

"Monsters, you say."

She wondered if what she had defeated earlier was one of these monsters. She didn't understand how a road could keep monsters away, but a road would provide a better view of what's ahead, so it might be somewhat safer.

"See ya."

The fairies gently drifted away.

"I wonder if I should have asked more questions..."

However, everything was too unfamiliar, she wasn't even sure what she should ask.

"I suppose I'll just have to start moving."

Staying here wasn't going to change anything.

Fukura decided to head for the road and go west, for now.
